The New York State Intelligence Center (NYSIC) is a multi-agency intelligence center which provides law enforcement agencies with access to virtually all law enforcement and commercial systems, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The mission of the NYSIC is to facilitate the timely exchange of information among federal, state and local law enforcement agencies. All inquiries to the NYSIC must be made for a legitimate law enforcement purpose as part of an ongoing criminal investigation.
The NYSIC receives information and queries from federal, state and local law enforcement agencies. When a suspect query from any of these authorized agencies is received, the subject of that query becomes a record in the NYSIC Intelligence database. The information contained in that record, including the name and agency of the requestor and the subject matter of the query (name, address, telephone number, etc.) is then subject to being shared, pursuant to data sensitivity classification, with any of the other authorized requesting agencies. Information received via written reports is likewise subject to inclusion in the NYSIC Intelligence database and therefore subject to being shared with any of the other authorized agencies.
Only individuals acting in an investigative capacity of a recognized law enforcement or homeland security agency, who have both a right-to-know and a need-to-know information maintained by the New York State Intelligence Center (NYSIC), may submit this security access form.
Information furnished by the NYSIC is for official law enforcement and/or homeland security purposes only and, unless otherwise indicated, shall not be further disseminated without the permission of the originator of the information or the NYSIC. Contact NYSIC for further clarification and/or guidance regarding secondary dissemination.
By checking this box, I hereby agree to the above-stated terms, certify that my statements on this form are true and complete, and acknowledge that I understand and agree to abide by the terms, conditions, and rules established by the NYSIC with respect to information access, use, and dissemination.
